Personal Data Protection Policy

Net Marketing Services, in accordance to Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), is not to be required to provide an individual customer, an individual appointed to act on behalf of a customer, an individual connected party of a customer or an individual beneficial owner of a customer, with:

  1. any access to personal data about the individual that is in the possession or under the control of the licensee;
  2. any information about the ways in which the personal data of the individual under subparagraph (i) has been or may have been used or disclosed by the licensee; and
  3. any right to correct an error or omission of the personal data about the individual that is in the possession or under the control of the licensee.

Net Marketing Services shall as soon as reasonably practicable, upon the request of an individual customer, an individual appointed to act on behalf of a customer, an individual connected party of a customer or an individual beneficial owner of a customer, provide the requesting individual with the right to access the following types of personal data of that individual:

  • full name, including any alias;
  • unique identification number (such as an identity card number, work permit number or passport number);
  • residential address;
  • date of birth; and
  • nationality.

Net Marketing Services, subject to regulatory requirements, will enable customers to correct an error or omission in relation to the types of personal data set out as above, provided Net Marketing Services is satisfied that there are reasonable grounds for such request.

For the purposes of complying with MAS Notices on Prevention of Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism, Net Marketing Services may, whether directly or through a third party, collect, use and disclose personal data of an individual customer, an individual appointed to act on behalf of a customer, an individual connected party of a customer or an individual beneficial owner of a customer, without the respective individual’s consent.

Security Measures to Protect Customer Information

Confidentiality of Transmissions Over the Internet

The transmission of data or information (including communications by email) over the Internet or any other publicly accessible networks must be secure. Sensitive and private data exchange between the P2P exchange and its users happens over an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

Personal Identification Information

Net Marketing Services collects personal identification information from users in various circumstances, including, but not limited to, when users make an order on P2P exchange and wish to proceed with the order. Users may be prompted to provide their name, residential address and mailing address (if different), telephone numbers, valid email address, date of birth, a copy of a valid photo ID ,proof of residence, official government issued identification number (in the form of their passport number, social security number, employee identification number or taxpayer identification number) and other necessary personal information to verify the user’s identity and their crypto wallet address(es).

What the Collected Information is Used For

  • To conduct customer identification and anti-money laundering reviews and compliance in compliance with the law
  • To communicate with customers including responding to enquiries and/or complaints
  • To comply with regulatory requirements and provide assistance to law enforcement agencies
  • To prevent, detect or prosecute cases of fraud/crime
  • To improve customer service; information about customers helps us respond to customer service requests and support needs more efficiently

How the Collected Information is Protected

The Company ensures that customers’ personal data is kept protected and secured. When processing customers’ personal information, we do so in a secure manner by maintaining physical, digital and procedural safeguards, in compliance with applicable regulations. Additionally, we adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of such personal information. Our security procedures are continuously revised based on new technological developments.

Users’ KYC data is stored on our computer, downloaded, and stored in a USB. Our Compliance Officer is dedicated to the backing up and accessing of the information on the USB. Only duly authorised employees can access users’ personal data and only under limited circumstances. These employees are required to comply with our internal code concerning confidentiality of personal information. All conversations related to trades are saved in P2P platform chats, WhatsApp, and SMS.

RISK WARNING ON DIGITAL PAYMENT TOKEN SERVICES


The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) requires Net Marketing Services Pte Ltd to provide this risk warning to you as a customer of a digital payment token (DPT) service provider. Before you pay your DPT service provider any money or DPT, you should be aware of the following.

  1. Your DPT service provider is exempted by MAS from holding a licence to provide DPT services. Please note that you may not be able to recover all the money or DPTs you paid to your DPT service provider if your DPT service provider’s business fails.
  2. You should not transact in the DPT if you are not familiar with this DPT. This includes how the DPT is created, and how the DPT you intend to transact is transferred or held by your DPT service provider.
  3. You should be aware that the value of DPTs may fluctuate greatly. You should buy DPTs only if you are prepared to accept the risk of losing all of the money you put into such tokens.
  4. You should be aware that your DPT service provider, as part of its licence to provide DPT services, may offer services related to DPTs which are promoted as having a stable value, commonly known as “stablecoin”.
  5. I understand the Risk of Online Investment using cryptocurrencies. If I lose anything in my Investment, I will not hold liable the seller and undersigned for any losses incurred by myself.
